I am very excited since this is my first time to celebrate Christmas in New Zealand. Although, I am a bit sad because I will be missing the usual stuff that we do back home, I am also eager to be able to spend the holidays here with my family and my new friends.
My family didn't make plans to go away for the holidays because my dad will be working most of the time except Christmas and Boxing Day. I will be most probably staying most of the time reading books and help Mom clean the house. On some days I will go to the library and borrow books to enhance my vocabulary. And if the weather is good, my brother and I will go to the park and enjoy the sun.
On Christmas Day, my family and I will spend it at home and eat some of my favorite food like spaghetti and pizza. We will call our grandparents back home in the Philippines and wish them a Merry Christmas then we'll spend the rest of the day watching DVDs.
I am planning to enroll on a swimming class to prepare myself for next year's camp. This will help me float in case a kayak or canoe tips over (also known as capsize) to survive. I am also looking forward to watch my favorite movies. I hope my friends will meet up sometimes so we could go watch movies together. That will be fun.
